Not fighting
Cutting to a very low body fat level — “prepping” — is so hard that being hungry is inevitable. You have to be ready to deal with it, and that’s fine as long as you accept it.
The worst trap you can fall into is playing Tetris in the kitchen — trying to come up with the perfect meal that fits your macros and satisfies your hunger. It becomes a mentally exhausting journey. No matter what you do, you will still be hungry, and you have to accept that.
When I finished cutting and started eating around 4000 kcal daily to get back to a comfortable body fat level as quickly as possible, I was still hungry. It sounds funny, but it was true.
So when you’re prepping and believing you can come up with a magical meal that will make you feel satiated while eating 2000 kcal and sitting at 7% body fat — open your eyes. Pay the price once rather than twice.
