The dishonesty is pretending that every environment is equally good for me.
The people around me shape what feels normal. If I spend time with people who build things, take care of their bodies, challenge themselves, and are curious about the world, becoming that person feels natural.
But if I surround myself with people whose default is escaping, consuming, and avoiding discomfort, I slowly move in that direction too.
It’s not about judging people. It’s about being honest about the kind of life I want to create and choosing environments that make that life easier.
